Big Sur Marathon Foundation events are presented with the help of more than 75 Monterey County non-profit groups supplying more than 2,000 volunteers from throughout the community. Since our first race in 1986, the non-profit Big Sur Marathon Foundation has donated over $5 million to our volunteer teams and related local organizations.

Thank you so much for volunteering for the Big Sur International Marathon. Without your wonderful help, time and enthusiasm this incredible community event could not take place. In order to commemorate your hours of contribution to the marathon you will receive a cool T-shirt and if affiliated with a grant group will generate funds for your respective charity.
